Bedbug violation

An HPD violation for bedbug infestation or for failing to file the annual bedbug report every multiple dwelling owner owes the city.

Bedbugs generate two different violations. An active infestation is a hazardous condition the owner must eradicate. Separately, every multiple dwelling owner must file an annual bedbug report with HPD and share the building's bedbug history with tenants; skipping the filing is itself a violation, and it is one of the highest-volume orders HPD writes.
