HPD's internal code for the specific corrective order a violation carries; the city's own taxonomy of what inspectors write.

Every HPD violation tells the owner to do something specific, and the something comes from a fixed catalogue of orders: repair the broken plaster, provide heat, file the annual bedbug report. The order number identifies which. It is more precise than the code section (one section can carry dozens of different orders) and this site uses it to key the per-order pages under each violation-code page.
